Keep turns the warm, everyday TwoNests you already use into a trustworthy record you could hand to an attorney or a court โ without turning co-parenting into litigation.
Most families never need this. But some do โ a court order requires an approved app, a co-parent disputes what was said or paid, or things are high-conflict enough that a reliable paper trail actually keeps everyone calmer. For those families, Keep adds a tamper-evident record, independent timestamping, court-ready exports, a read-only link for professionals, an on-the-record money ledger, and logged calls โ all on top of the app you already know.
It's optional, opt-in, and off by default. Turn it on when you need it; the free app is never worse for it, and you're never locked out of your own history.
If none of that is you, you don't need Keep โ and everyday TwoNests stays completely free.
The single thing courts and attorneys actually ask for: a record that can't be quietly changed after the fact.
Once a message is sent in Keep, it can't be edited or deleted out from under the other parent. Each entry is chained to the ones before it and stamped with when it was sent, so the history is complete and in order. If anything in the chain were ever altered, it would show โ that's what "tamper-evident" means.
Warm on the surface, solid underneath: it still reads like a calm conversation about your child, not a case file. It only becomes evidence if you ever need it to.
Keep periodically certifies your record with a trusted outside timestamping authority (an RFC 3161 service โ the same kind of standard used for legal and financial e-signatures). That means the "when" of your history isn't just our word for it โ it's independently verifiable, so no one, not even us, can backdate what happened.
