TwoNests is built for kids and the parents who love them, first and always. The heart of it is free — no ads, no per-parent fees, and your data always yours. For the families who genuinely need a court-ready record, there's one optional layer, TwoNests Keep — and even it keeps every promise below. Here's what that means, in plain words we intend to keep.

No catch

Free, and honest about it

So much of this category runs on cost-fatigue — apps that were free for years suddenly charging, or billing each parent separately for a shared calendar. We don't want to do that to you.

No ads. Ever. Your family's moments are not an advertising surface.
No per-parent fees. Co-parenting already costs enough. We will never charge you and your co-parent separately to share one calendar.
We won't paywall what we gave you free. Every tool that's free today stays free. TwoNests Keep only adds new, optional court-ready features on top — it never locks away anything you already had.
One optional layer, only if you need it. Everyday TwoNests is free. TwoNests Keep is a single optional layer for families who need a court-ready record — off by default, flat-priced for the whole family (never per parent), and never required to use the app day to day.

It's yours

Your data is always yours

The sharpest wound in this whole category is people losing access to their own history the moment a subscription lapses. That will never happen here.

Export anytime. A clean, printable report of your family's records, a full backup, or a spreadsheet — whenever you want, from Settings.
Readable even on a free or lapsed account. TwoNests Keep is our one optional paid layer — and if a Keep subscription ever lapses, your records simply become read-only, never locked. We will not make you re-subscribe to see your own child's history.
We don't sell it, and we don't mine it. No data brokers, no ad targeting, no quietly reading your family's notes. Only the people you invite can see your family's information.

Warmth, not surveillance

Built for the child, not the courtroom

Most co-parenting apps assume conflict by default — the whole product is a record you build against the other parent. TwoNests is the opposite: a calm, shared place to take care of a kid you both love.

No tone-policing AI. Nothing scans your words or judges your wording. A gentle "one more look before it sends" is the sender's own second glance — not an algorithm's opinion.
No GPS check-ins, and no evidence-mode by default. We don't track anyone's location, and everyday TwoNests never treats your messages as a case file. If a family truly needs a court-ready record, TwoNests Keep is there — but it's opt-in, and only when you choose to turn it on. Handoff is about packing the bag and continuity, not blame.
Focused, not bloated. A handful of caring tools — calendar, care logs, the Village of people who help, keepsakes — because something about co-parenting well was falling through the cracks without them.

Why we're built this way

Mission over profit

TwoNests is a small, independent project made by one parent-minded developer, with the children at the center of every decision.

Our goal is to keep everyday TwoNests genuinely free and useful for the families who need it — funded by grants, by supporters who believe in it, and by TwoNests Keep, the optional layer families choose when they need a court-ready record. What we won't do is bill you and your co-parent separately for a shared calendar, or charge every parent at their hardest moment.
